AFCEA Educational Foundation Original Source

About This Opportunity

The AFCEA STEM Majors Scholarships program provides financial support to undergraduate students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields related to AFCEA's mission. The program offers three scholarship opportunities through a single application: the STEM Major Scholarship ($2,500), the Cyber Security Scholarship ($5,000), and the Student Member Scholarship ($2,500). Applicants are automatically considered for all scholarships for which they qualify. Eligible students must be enrolled full-time as sophomores or juniors in a four-year college or university in the United States, maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0, and be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Qualifying majors span a wide range of STEM disciplines including aerospace engineering, computer science, cybersecurity, electrical engineering, information technology, mathematics, physics, robotics, and telecommunications engineering among others. Scholarship funds are restricted to tuition and course-related expenses such as fees, books, supplies, and equipment required for university courses. The Cyber Security Scholarship specifically targets students in cybersecurity, computer science, digital forensics, information assurance, and related fields supporting U.S. cyber enterprises. The Student Member Scholarship requires applicants to hold an AFCEA student or Junior Enlisted membership.
