Vinnova offers funding for the development of sustainable and competitive business models and solutions where batteries are used. The call finances business model innovation and development of solutions for various battery applications such as vehicles, work machines, and energy storage. Projects are expected to work towards realizing solutions and business models for different battery applications through systematic, long-term, and iterative work. Development of business models must be a central part of every funded project. The development of solutions should primarily be based on integration of existing battery technologies, components and subsystems as well as development of software and services. The call aims to contribute to competitive, sustainable and resilient business models and solutions, accelerate electrification and transition to a fossil-free society, and strengthen societal resilience regarding security, civil preparedness, robustness and resistance to disruptions in supply chains.
