Africa Excellence Scholarship

The Africa Excellence Scholarship is offered by Teesside University to support eligible international students from African countries who demonstrate academic excellence in their application. The scholarship provides £2,000 as a fee waiver in the first full academic year of study for students on foundation, undergraduate, or postgraduate programmes. The scholarship aims to support students who demonstrate the highest potential prior to joining the University. Students are automatically considered for the scholarship based on their course application details, with no separate application required. Awards are made at the discretion of the International Scholarships Committee, who consider financial background, prior academic performance, and other application information. A limited number of scholarships are available for students starting in January 2026.
