About this opportunity
Up to two AIMS Entrance Scholarships, valued at $10,000 each per year for up to two years, will be awarded annually to graduate students who will be registered full-time in the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo. Recipients must have completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree at the African Institute of Mathematical Sciences and will be selected on the basis of academic excellence and a demonstrated interest in research. Scholarships will be awarded primarily to students entering a doctoral program in the Faculty of Mathematics. Students must maintain a minimum average of 80% and show satisfactory progress during their program. A progress report must be completed annually by the student's supervisor and approved by the Department Graduate Officer and Associate Dean, Graduate Studies, in the Faculty of Mathematics. Recipients can concurrently hold other awards.
