About this opportunity
The African Scholarship Programme provides opportunities for early-career researchers based in Africa to come to the Nordic Africa Institute to work on their research for a period of two to three months. The program is designed to provide access to the Institute's library, hosting by the Institute's researchers, networking opportunities and other resources that provide a stimulating research environment. The scholarship is directed at early career researchers based in Africa and engaged in Africa-oriented research within the disciplines of Social Sciences and Humanities, with a focus on contemporary Africa. The research should be relevant to the core principles of the UN Agenda 2030. Through the programme, the Nordic Africa Institute aims to contribute to building capacity in the production of knowledge about Africa, and to promote and establish relations with and between African and Nordic research communities. The program offers financial support including return airfare, accommodation, a subsistence allowance of 450 SEK per day, and an installation grant of 2,500 SEK, along with access to a workspace in a shared office at the Institute.
