AG (Gil) Gilmet Award

The AG (Gil) Gilmet Award is an annual scholarship awarded to a student with satisfactory academic standing entering the fourth year of studies in the Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation at the University of Alberta. The recipient will be the student who best combines academic standing with an ongoing record of voluntary community service. Current qualification as a Red Cross instructor in water safety, small craft safety, or first aid, as well as financial need may be taken into account. This award is endowed by friends of Gil Gilmet and is designed to recognize students who demonstrate both academic achievement and community engagement through volunteer service.
