About this opportunity
The Ahmad Family Scholarship was established by history alumna Diana Ahmad, currently Curators' Distinguished Teaching Professor, specializing in the history of the American West, at Missouri University of Science & Technology. Dr. Ahmad is a Milwaukee native and earned her bachelor's and master's degrees at UWM. This scholarship supports full-time History majors at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee who have demonstrated academic achievement with a minimum 3.1 cumulative GPA and have achieved junior or senior standing. Preference is given to students who started their college career at UWM rather than transfer students. The scholarship provides $1,000 in financial support for the following academic year. Students are automatically considered through the Panther Scholarship Portal General Application and the College of Letters & Science Scholarships and Awards Application, with no separate application required. Awards are typically made in spring each year for the following school year.
