About this opportunity
This scholarship is part of the UQ Physiotherapy Endowed Scholarship Scheme and was established in 2011, maintained by the income from a bequest from Ailsa Munro, a greatly respected retired physiotherapist who graduated with the first cohort of students from the physiotherapy program at The University of Queensland in 1941. The scholarship provides financial support of at least $6,000 to eligible physiotherapy students who can demonstrate financial hardship.
The scholarship is available to domestic students who have completed either the first two years of the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) or the first year of the Master of Physiotherapy Studies. Applicants must provide documentary evidence of financial hardship and cannot hold another scholarship in the year of award.
Preference is given to applicants from rural or remote areas. The selection process considers demonstrated financial need, academic achievement in relevant programs, and how the scholarship will assist in completing the program. Shortlisted applicants may be contacted for an interview.
