About this opportunity
In partnership with the Illinois Student Assistance Commission, SIUE helps make college more affordable through the AIM HIGH Grant. Qualified Illinois students can significantly reduce the cost of tuition and fees by combining SIUE academic awards with this state-funded grant. The grant provides $2,500 per academic year for eligible first-year undergraduate students who attend Illinois high schools, maintain a minimum 2.75 high school GPA, and demonstrate financial need. The award is renewable for up to 135 attempted credit hours as long as students maintain satisfactory academic progress, a cumulative or semester GPA of 2.0 or higher, and enrollment of at least 12 credit hours per semester. Funding is awarded based on FAFSA filing date, so early completion is encouraged. This grant can be used for tuition and fees during fall and spring semesters and may be awarded in addition to other SIUE scholarships, though it cannot be used with SIUE's Meridian Scholarship.
