About this opportunity
The AJ Shearsby Prize is an undergraduate scholarship valued at $200 to support students enrolled in geology units during their first year of studies at the University of Sydney. Established in 1958, this scholarship was generously donated in honour of Mr A.J. Shearsby of Yass by his geological friends and by the Rotary Club of Yass. The prize is awarded automatically based on HSC results and university enrollment, with no application required. It recognizes the student who achieved the highest marks in Earth and Environmental Science in the NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) and who enrolls in at least 6 credit points of geology units in their first year. The scholarship is tenable for one year and is paid as a one-off payment after the census date of the relevant semester.
