About this opportunity

Aker Scholarship is a comprehensive funding program for Norwegian students pursuing master's degrees or PhDs at some of the world's leading universities. The scholarship provides financial support that supplements other funding sources, ensuring students typically do not incur study loans during their studies. The program supports the full duration of the degree with normal progression and includes accommodations for students with disabilities or chronic illnesses. Beyond financial support, Aker Scholarship provides guidance throughout the application process and ongoing support during studies. The scholarship comes with no obligations or commitments after graduation. The program seeks academically strong candidates with a desire to contribute to society, who demonstrate high ambition, engagement in societal issues, and a desire to 'make a difference.' While good grades are essential for admission to top universities, the selection process considers much more than academic performance alone. Supported institutions include Caltech, MIT, Harvard, Stanford, University of Pennsylvania, Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College London, and National University of Singapore (NUS). The program does not support exchange programs, part-time studies, or online studies.
