About this opportunity
The Al Maurer Awards were established to honour Al Maurer, the long-time City Manager for the City of Edmonton. Upon his retirement in 2009, city staff and others contributed to the Al Maurer Awards Fund to assist public service employees with furthering their education in areas that will promote public service excellence. The awards support permanent public service employees working within Edmonton city limits who are pursuing educational programs that enhance their ability to promote public service excellence. Priority is given to applicants who demonstrate commitment to an ongoing career in public service and financial need to cover educational costs beyond those provided by their employer.
