About this opportunity
The Fenner School of Environment & Society at the Australian National University offers the Alan and Helen Ross Forestry Education Scholarship. The objective of the Award is to support a Papua New Guinea (PNG) citizen with interests and experience in PNG forests and forestry to study a graduate coursework program in forests. Funding for this Award has been provided by the Alan and Helen Ross Forestry Education Scholarship Trust. The Trust honours the life and work of Alan and Helen Ross, longtime residents of PNG who were deeply committed to its future. Alan was a highly respected figure in forestry in PNG, mentoring many of his PNG colleagues. The scholarship covers ANU fees, living allowance, travel, and fieldwork costs, providing up to $100,000 per annum for up to 2 years. Payments are made per semester and continuation is based on maintaining a full-time study load.
