About this opportunity
This scholarship provides support to students studying instrumental studies at the Conservatorium of Music at the University of Sydney. Established in 2020 from a gift from Alan Hyland and John Luscombe Endowment for Vocal and Instrumental Studies, it offers financial assistance to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit, personal statement, demonstrated evidence of disadvantage, and/or portfolio and performance. For postgraduate research applicants, research achievements and potential are also considered. Preference is given to postgraduate applicants. The scholarship value and duration are determined by the Dean of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and stipulated in the offer letter to successful recipients.
