About this opportunity
The Albert Carter Award was established in 1988 by Deanna Carter in memory of her husband, Albert Carter, and is now supported by Kevin and Jeannine Kelly. This award recognizes excellence in the welding trades program at Lakeland College. The award is presented annually to a graduating journeyman welder who demonstrates outstanding leadership qualities, enthusiasm for their craft, meaningful contributions to college activities, and strong academic ability. Recipients receive both a Welding Procedure Handbook and a $500 monetary award to support their transition into professional welding careers.
