About this opportunity
The Albert L. Delisle Scholarship was created when Dr. Delisle '32, a teacher and pioneering researcher in botany, named the University of Massachusetts Foundation as beneficiary of his life insurance policy. The scholarship supports graduate students and undergraduate students conducting research in plant biology. Applicants must be graduate students in the Plant Biology Graduate Program or undergraduate students enrolled as full-time, degree-seeking students at UMass Amherst, and must be involved in a research project in the laboratory of a Plant Biology Graduate Program faculty member at UMass Amherst. Student applicants should demonstrate strong motivation for conducting research, excellent academic achievement, a novel proposal for research related to plant biology, and defined strategies.
