Alberta and Raymond Zuber Future Teachers Scholarship

The Alberta and Raymond Zuber Future Teachers Scholarship is awarded annually to two students at Eastern Illinois University who are pursuing careers in elementary or middle level education. One junior and one senior student receive the award each year. The scholarship is designed to support students who demonstrate academic excellence with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or above, show financial need, and have worked to pay a portion of their college expenses. Priority is given to students from specific Illinois counties including Clay, Edgar, Effingham, Jasper, Lawrence, and Richland counties, with highest priority for those from Clay, Edgar, Jasper, or Richland counties. Recipients may reapply for the award in subsequent years if they continue to meet the eligibility criteria. Awards are announced in the Spring semester and distributed in the Fall semester.
