Alberta Athletic Award

The Alberta Athletic Award recognizes and rewards athletic excellence at universities, colleges, and technical institutions in Alberta. Recipients must participate on a sport team designated by the Alberta College Athletic Conference (ACAC) and demonstrate strong academic performance while maintaining their athletic commitments. The award provides $1,800 to student-athletes who meet eligibility requirements including Canadian citizenship or permanent residency, Alberta residency, enrollment in at least 60% of a full-course load in their second or subsequent term of undergraduate or professional studies, and a minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale. When more students are eligible than available funding allows, Concordia University of Edmonton's Athletic Department determines recipients while maintaining an equal selection of male and female athletes where possible.
