Alberta Athletic Award

Established in 1984, the Alberta Athletic Award is funded by the Government of Alberta. The purpose of the award is to recognize and reward athletic excellence at universities, colleges and technical institutes in Alberta. Students enrolled in full-time studies in both the Fall and Winter terms are eligible for a total of $1,800 per academic year or $900 per term. Students in the first year of their program will not be eligible during the Fall term, as they must complete at least one term to establish the GPA requirement. However, they can receive $1,800 in the Winter term if they established a minimum GPA of 2.0 at the end of the Fall term. This award requires the completion of a paper application, available from Rustlers coaches at the beginning of each term.
