About this opportunity

The Alberta Canola Producers Commission Award is awarded to a student with satisfactory academic standing (minimum GPA 2.7) entering the second, third, or fourth year of the BSc. in Nutrition and Food Science (Food Science and Technology major) or the BSc. in Agricultural/Food Business Management (Food Business Management major) at the University of Alberta. The recipient is selected based on leadership qualities demonstrated through involvement in extracurricular and community activities, especially those related to food processing and distribution. Preference is given to students whose family income is derived primarily from some aspect of the canola industry, though students from other industries related to Food Business Management or Nutrition and Food Science are also eligible. The award is funded by an endowment from the Alberta Canola Producers Commission and is administered through the Faculty of Agricultural, Life & Environmental Sciences.
