About This Opportunity

The Alberta Excellence in Agriculture Scholarship was established by the Alberta Wheat Board Monies Trust to encourage academic excellence of students currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in a discipline related to the field of agriculture. This scholarship has been funded through the Alberta Heritage Scholarship Fund. Four awards of $1,500 each are available: two for students in a diploma program and two for students in a degree program. In the event no applications are received for either the diploma program or the degree program in a given year, all four scholarships will be awarded to students in the program that received applications. The recipient will be selected on the basis of academic achievement and enrolment in a discipline related to agriculture in the previous year of undergraduate post-secondary study at an Alberta institution. Preference will be given to students who have completed the Green Certificate Program.
