About this opportunity
The Alberta Innovates Graduate Student Scholarships support academically superior graduate students who are receiving training and conducting research in areas that are strategically important to Alberta's economy. The scholarship supports research in Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) and Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Technologies (AMM). Areas include ICT topics such as communications networks, artificial intelligence, machine learning, cybersecurity, and quantum computing, as well as AMM topics including automation, robotics, lightweight materials, additive manufacturing, nanotechnology, and quantum materials. Students must be sponsored by a faculty supervisor with a record of productive research within an Alberta Innovates-funded research area. Multi-year scholarships are renewed annually upon satisfactory reporting by the student.
