Alberta Innovates Summer Research Studentship

The Alberta Innovates Summer Research Studentship provides funding to support students engaging in health/medical research and innovation for 2-4 months during the summer (May-August). Students must be currently registered in an undergraduate or MD program at a Canadian post-secondary institution. Canadian citizens or permanent residents currently studying abroad who wish to do research at the University of Alberta during the summer may also apply. The program prioritizes projects that align with Alberta Innovates Priority Areas, with 80% of awards directed to these focus areas including Applied Health Research for Adoption and Scale, Sustainable Health Systems, Digital Health and Data-driven Systems, and One Health. Students must complete the URI Undergraduate Research Common Application to be considered for this award.
