The Alberta Teachers' Association Gold Medal in Education (NWP) is awarded to a student convocating from Northwestern Polytechnic with a University of Alberta Bachelor of Education degree who has shown the highest general proficiency in their coursework and field experiences. This prestigious award recognizes academic excellence and outstanding performance in both theoretical studies and practical teaching experiences. The award is specifically designed for students completing their Bachelor of Education degree through Northwestern Polytechnic and is not open to students who transfer from Northwestern Polytechnic to the University of Alberta to complete their degree.
