About this opportunity
The Alexander Briggs Memorial Award is a scholarship established by Miss Margaret Briggs in memory of her father, Alexander Briggs, who was the contractor that completed the Main Building of Eastern Illinois University. This scholarship is designed for Business majors who have completed at least one year of college and are currently sophomores, juniors, or seniors. Recipients must demonstrate outstanding personal character and show genuine interest in the field of Business and Business Education. The award requires a minimum 3.0 GPA (B average) and a letter of recommendation from a Business faculty member. The selection is made by members of the Business faculty based on academic performance, personal character, and commitment to the business field. The award is announced in the Spring semester and awarded in the Fall semester.
