Alexander Hamilton Paper Award in American History

The Alexander Hamilton Paper Award in American History is an undergraduate award given at Eastern Illinois University to recognize the best paper on American History written for an EIU History course. The award is announced and disbursed in the Spring semester and requires attendance at the Department of History's annual awards ceremony. Recipients must be students in good standing at Eastern Illinois University who have written an undergraduate paper on American History for a course taught by a member of the Department of History. The selection committee evaluates papers submitted by undergraduate students and awards the prize to the author of the best paper. Recipients may apply for and receive the award again in future years if they continue to meet the eligibility criteria. The award amount varies and is not fixed.
