About this opportunity
The Alexander Rutherford Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship for Alberta residents who have completed high school and are pursuing post-secondary education. To receive this scholarship, applicants must be Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents, or Protected Persons in Canada, be Alberta residents, have completed high school on or after September 30, 1980, and be enrolled in a full course load in a designated post-secondary or apprenticeship program of at least one semester in length. The scholarship is awarded based on a minimum combined average from five designated courses in at least one grade (Grade 10, 11, or 12) as calculated from the Alberta Transcript of High School Achievement or official high school transcript for those who attended high school outside Alberta. This scholarship can only be awarded once per student and provides financial support for students transitioning from high school to post-secondary education.
