Alexander von Humboldt Foundation Original Source

About This Opportunity

The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation awards each year up to 10 fellowships to highly gifted young musicians and musicologists from Spain to help finance their further training or advanced academic studies at an academy of music or a conservatory in Germany. This includes academic supervision by recognised music teachers at colleges of music or conservatories or by specialist scholars from higher education institutions. The supervision must be bindingly agreed prior to the application. The fellowship is designed for students of music and musicology from Spain with a first academic degree just embarking on their professional lives. Preference is given to candidates who have not yet had the opportunity to study in Germany. The program provides monthly stipends of 1,000 EUR plus additional allowances for travel and starting costs, supporting students for one or two academic semesters of advanced study in Germany.
