Alf Waddington Scholarship

The Alf Waddington Scholarship is offered by LSE and was established by Ms Sue Howes, who grew up on a council estate in the North of England and graduated from LSE in 1972 with a BA in Sociology. She created this scholarship to enable other students from disadvantaged backgrounds to benefit from an LSE education. The scholarship is specifically designed to support students pursuing a one year taught master's programme within the Department of Sociology. There is one scholarship available annually, and the value will contribute to tuition fees, though the exact amount is to be confirmed.
