Alf Waddington Scholarship

The Alf Waddington Scholarship is offered by the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). This scholarship was established by Ms Sue Howes, who grew up on a council estate in the North of England and graduated from LSE in 1972 with a BA in Sociology. The scholarship aims to enable students from disadvantaged backgrounds to benefit from an LSE education. The scholarship is available to applicants studying a one-year taught master's programme within the Department of Sociology at LSE. There is one scholarship available each year, with the value to be confirmed, and the award will contribute to tuition fees.
