Alfred George East Scholarship

The Alfred George East Scholarship supports second-year or third-year undergraduate students facing financial hardship at Massey University's Wellington campus. Named after Wellington land and estate agent Alfred George East, this scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in undergraduate programmes in technical areas such as nursing, industrial design, and other design qualifications. The scholarship is available for full-time New Zealand citizens or permanent residents who are entering their second or third year of study. Two awards are available annually, each lasting for one year. When selecting recipients, financial need is the primary consideration, though academic achievements and performance may also be taken into account. Students enrolled in qualifications with a focus on business, journalism or music are not eligible for this award.
