About this opportunity
The Alfred Ots Scholarship Fund supports Estonian citizens residing in Estonia to study engineering or architecture at bachelor's or master's level at Chalmers University of Technology. The scholarship amounts to 50,000 SEK per student per semester (10,000 SEK/month for 15 months). Master's students can apply for scholarships for up to 3 semesters with a possibility to extend for one additional semester (maximum 4 semesters). Bachelor's students can apply for up to 6 semesters. The fund was established in 1995 through a donation from the estate of engineer Alfred Ots, who was born in Estonia and studied at Chalmers before working at NASA. Additional scholarship opportunities include support for conducting master's thesis work at Chalmers for up to 5 months, and support for PhD students and researchers in Estonia to conduct collaborative research on-site at Chalmers for limited periods. The fund is one of the most active of Chalmers funds, having supported over 80 fellows over the years, of which six have completed doctoral degrees.
