About this opportunity
The Alison Hanham Undergraduate Scholarship in Arts was established in 2019 and is funded by the estate of Dr Alison Hanham, an alumna of the University of Auckland and former Associate Professor in History at Massey University, Palmerston North. The main purpose of the Scholarship is to support Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Arts conjoint degree students, particularly those in the School of Humanities, who are enrolling in the first year of their degree, and who are experiencing financial hardship. Two scholarships are available annually, each valued at up to $5,000, to provide assistance with study for New Zealand citizens or permanent residents enrolled full-time in a BA or BA conjoint degree program. The scholarship has a tenure of one year and aims to help students overcome financial barriers to higher education in the arts.
