About This Opportunity

The Allen and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust Scholarships are full scholarships offered by the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) for students from Low and Middle Income Countries (LMIC). These scholarships are designed to support LMIC nationals who are ordinarily domiciled in a LMIC and intend to return to their home country upon completion of their studies. The scholarships cover the full cost of tuition fees, living expenses, flights, and visa requirements for students enrolled in specific master's programs at LSTM. The scholarships are available for students applying to the full-time, on-campus Master of Public Health International, MSc Humanitarian Studies, or MSc Tropical and Infectious Diseases programs. Applicants must already have received a conditional offer from LSTM for their preferred course to be eligible. More than one scholarship is available each year. To apply, candidates must complete a scholarship application form demonstrating that they are LMIC nationals ordinarily domiciled in a LMIC, explain their academic goals and research interests in connection to their chosen course, and clearly outline how their studies will impact their career, reduce health inequality, and provide health leadership. The application statement is limited to 700 words. The scholarship aims to support future health leaders who will make a significant impact in reducing health inequalities in low and middle-income countries.
