Alumni Non-Resident Tuition Scholarship for Transfers

The Alumni Non-Resident Tuition Scholarship for Transfers is awarded to non-resident transfer students whose status as the child of an MSU alumni has been verified. This scholarship provides $5,000 per year to help offset the non-resident portion of tuition for eligible transfer students entering Mississippi State University. The scholarship is renewable annually provided the student maintains an overall college GPA of 2.5 and continuous full-time enrollment of at least 12 credit hours per semester at MSU. To qualify for alumni status, the parent must have received a degree from MSU or completed a minimum of 48 hours towards a degree at MSU, verified by the MSU Office of the Registrar. Students must be assessed non-resident tuition to receive this scholarship, and it cannot be combined with programs that waive non-resident charges such as Academic Common Market or Veteran/Military-related waivers. However, it may be combined with the Transfer Non-Resident Tuition Scholarship, though the combined amount cannot exceed the non-resident portion of tuition.
