ALW 2025 Scholarships

Adult Learners Week (ALW) offers annual scholarships to outstanding adult learners to enable them to continue their learning journey. Each year, three ALW scholarships of $1000 are awarded to exceptional adult learners from across Australia. The scholarships are designed to support and recognize adults who demonstrate commitment to lifelong learning and educational achievement. The program receives nominations from each State and Territory in Australia. Winners are announced at the ALW Launch event held at the beginning of September each year. In addition to the three main scholarships, the Learning Changes Lives Foundation (ALA's charitable arm) awards six additional prizes of $500 to further support adult learners in continuing their educational pursuits. Adult Learners Week is a national celebration of lifelong learning supported by the Australian Government, recognizing that learning can occur at any stage of life and making a significant difference in people's lives and communities.
