About this opportunity
The Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship provides funding and career development opportunities for high school seniors pursuing undergraduate degrees in computer science and related fields. Recipients receive up to $40,000 (up to $10,000 per year) towards their undergraduate education, renewable for up to three additional years. The scholarship is designed to support students with demonstrated financial need who are passionate about computer science.
In addition to the financial award, scholarship recipients receive an offer to complete a paid summer internship at Amazon, where they work embedded on software engineering teams building projects with real impact on Amazon customers. Interns work on groundbreaking technologies including Amazon Web Services, seller logistics, and the Amazon retail platform.
The program also includes professional development opportunities such as fireside chats with senior leaders, technology deep dives, and dedicated career mentors. Applicants must be U.S. high school seniors who have completed or are enrolled in a computer science course (or can take an assessment), planning to pursue a bachelor's degree in computer science or related fields, with a minimum 2.3 GPA and demonstrated financial need.
