Ambassador Award

The Ambassador Award is an annual scholarship awarded to a student with satisfactory academic standing registered in the BSc Nursing program at the University of Alberta. The recipient is selected on the basis of academic standing and must be an active volunteer within the Faculty of Nursing. The award recognizes students who display the qualities of integrity, caring/compassion, patience, empathy, ability to live with ambiguity, critical thinking, responsibility, and accountability that are important in the Nursing profession. The award is funded through an endowment by Alice Thomas MacKinnon and is administered by the Faculty of Nursing. Recipients are automatically considered based on their completed General Application.
