About this opportunity
Thanks to a generous gift from Mrs Amelia Kentfield, this scholarship programme was introduced in 2023 in the Faculty of Engineering at Imperial College London to honour her late husband John Alan Kentfield, who completed his PhD at Imperial in the early 1960s. The scholarship is designed to support PhD candidates pursuing research in areas aligned with sustainability, advances in AI and its applications, and space-related research. The scholarships specifically aim to support candidates from underrepresented backgrounds including women, candidates from underrepresented minority ethnicities, and candidates with disabilities. Two scholarship places are available for the 2025/26 academic year intake, offering full funding for a 3.5-year PhD programme across all ten departments in the Faculty of Engineering. This will be the final round of recruitment for this scholarship programme.
