About This Opportunity

The American Legion Auxiliary supports various scholarship programs that benefit veterans, the descendants of veterans, and The American Legion Family. The program includes multiple scholarship opportunities: Children of Warriors National Presidents' Scholarship offering fifteen $5,000 scholarships annually for undergraduate study; Non-Traditional Student Scholarship providing five $2,000 scholarships for those pursuing training in certified, trade, professional, technical programs, or degree programs; Spirit of Youth Scholarship for current Junior Members who are high school seniors pursuing undergraduate degrees or technical programs; and Member Loyalty Scholarship awarding ten $2,500 scholarships to current college students who retained their ALA Junior membership into adulthood. Applications for all ALA National scholarships open every year in September and close on March 1st. These scholarships may be used for tuition, books, fees, room, and board at accredited colleges or universities. The scholarships are distributed across five geographic divisions of the American Legion Auxiliary, ensuring broad geographic representation among recipients.
