About This Opportunity

The Amsterdam Merit Scholarship (AMS) is a prestigious scholarship targeted at outstanding students with a non-European Economic Area (EEA) nationality who are applying to the Bachelor's programme in Psychology at the University of Amsterdam. The scholarship is highly competitive and awarded to students whose selection test scores are among the best 10%. Students do not need to apply separately for the scholarship or write a letter of motivation, as nomination is automatic based on performance. The scholarship is awarded once a year to one new Bachelor's student starting in September. In addition to achieving top selection test scores, the College of Psychology requires unconditional acceptance into the Bachelor's programme. The admissions office notifies successful candidates in May if they have been awarded the scholarship. The award amount will be announced later in the admissions cycle.
