Amsterdam Merit Scholarship (AMS)

The Amsterdam Merit Scholarship is offered by the University of Amsterdam's Faculty of Economics and Business to attract the world's brightest students to their international classrooms. Outstanding students with non-EU nationality can apply for this scholarship. A limited number of scholarships are available each year, with approximately one scholarship awarded per Bachelor's programme. The scholarship provides financial support for highly talented non-EU students applying to Bachelor's programmes in Economics and Business. The scholarship is paid out in 12 equal installments on a reimbursement basis and is not a tuition fee waiver, meaning students must arrange payment of their tuition fee themselves. Candidates are selected based on academic excellence and promise in the field, including excellent GPA (90-100% or A-A+), strong matching or selection results, motivation, and English proficiency. Applicants must not be entitled to receive Dutch study grants, cannot receive full coverage scholarships for the same period, and must be able to comply with Dutch visa regulations.
