Amy Bresney Scholarship Fund

The Amy Bresney Scholarship Fund was established in 2018 by Mr. Michael J. Bresney BS '78 to support undergraduate students in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the University at Buffalo. This scholarship is specifically designed for students from single parent or single caregiver households who are U.S. citizens. This is a non-tuition scholarship that provides financial assistance for educational expenses including fees, books, room and board, and other related costs. The scholarship offers up to $10,000 per year and is renewable for up to 4 years of undergraduate study, providing sustained support throughout the recipient's academic journey. Eligible applicants must be accepted majors in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and demonstrate their eligibility through a personal statement addressing their circumstances as students from single parent or single caregiver households.
