About this opportunity
The Amy Farnell Education Awards are post-secondary education awards offered in honour of Amy Farnell, a long-time supporter and cherished friend of Autism Nova Scotia. These awards are presented to eligible Nova Scotian students who identify as autistic or on the autism spectrum and have been accepted into a full-time post-secondary program. Each year, the Craig Foundation contributes $25,000 to fund these awards, with each individual award valued at up to $2,000 per year. The awards are renewable for the regular duration of the chosen program, up to a maximum of four years, provided the student remains in good academic standing and enrolled full-time. The Award is administered by Autism Nova Scotia in partnership with the Craig Foundation and the Amy Farnell Awards Committee. Applicants must be residents of Nova Scotia, identify as autistic or on the autism spectrum, be accepted to or currently enrolled in any post-secondary institution as a full-time student, and be more likely to pursue post-secondary education with this financial support.
