Amy L. McDermott Memorial Scholarship

The Amy L. McDermott Memorial Scholarship is a scholarship award for rising fourth-year veterinary medicine students at Virginia Tech with an active concentration in wildlife medicine or animal rehabilitation. Alternate awards may be given to students within the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine (VMRCVM) who are not concentrating their studies on wildlife and/or rehabilitation. Applicants are required to submit an essay explaining why they would be a strong candidate for this scholarship, highlighting relevant experiences, achievements, or qualities without including identifying information in their response. The scholarship is designed to support students pursuing careers in wildlife medicine and animal rehabilitation within the veterinary medicine program.
