About this opportunity
The Amy M Coates Memorial Medal in Foods and Nutrition is awarded annually to the convocating student from the Dietetics Specialization or Honors Nutrition or Nutrition and Food major with the highest standing in the work of the final two years. This prestigious medal recognizes academic excellence in foods and nutrition programs at the University of Alberta. The award is funded through an endowment established by Mrs Diane Enilda Peers in memory of her mother, Mrs Amy M Coates. Recipients of this medal are not eligible to receive the Alberta Institute of Agrologists Medal, the Medal in Food Science, or the Warren W and Ida E Prevey Memorial Medal in the same year.
