Andras and Margaret Joo Bursary

The Andras and Margaret Joo Bursary is offered annually to continuing undergraduate students enrolled in the Cumming School of Medicine, MD program at the University of Calgary. The bursary was established by donor Daniel Joo to support medical students who demonstrate satisfactory academic merit and financial need. This award recognizes the importance of supporting medical education while acknowledging the financial challenges faced by students in professional medical programs. Recipients must be in their second or third year of the MD program and demonstrate both academic competence and documented financial need.
