Andrew P. Potos Memorial Scholarship

The Andrew P. Potos Memorial Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate sophomore, junior, senior, or transfer students at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. This scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate that they, or their parent(s)/guardian(s), have values and behaviors associated with persons seeking better life opportunities for themselves and their children. Eligible candidates must show persistence in overcoming roadblocks to obtaining higher education such as economic, cultural, language, and social barriers; creativity and drive in seeking economic opportunity; and/or resilience in facing and overcoming the challenges of building a better life. The scholarship provides $2,000 annually and is renewable, with an anticipated total of $6,000 over the full term of the award. Prior recipients may have their scholarships renewed provided they remain eligible.
