About this opportunity
The Andrew Ward Memorial Scholarship is an undergraduate scholarship established in 2025 by a gift from the Andrew Ward Education and Research Fund in memory of Andrew Ward, founder of IntelliDesign. Mr Andrew Ward was a Harvard University-educated engineer and a great supporter and mentor of early career engineers. The scholarship supports full-time domestic students enrolled in the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) or an engineering dual program at the University of Queensland.
The scholarship is valued at $10,000 over 2 years and is awarded to one student who has completed 28-43 units and is studying in one of the following engineering fields: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or Software Engineering. The scholarship is generously supported by IntelliDesign's leadership team, together with Andrew's family and friends.
Selection is based on academic achievement, strength of interest in the relevant field, and strength of personal and leadership qualities and community service achievements. Applicants cannot hold a scholarship that the Associate Dean considers to be similar. Shortlisted candidates may be contacted for an interview.
