Angela and Sunny Yau Award for Brighter Futures

The Angela and Sunny Yau Award for Brighter Futures is awarded to students who are first or second-generation Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents with satisfactory academic standing enrolled in any year of an undergraduate degree at the University of Alberta. Selection is based on academic standing and indicated financial need. This endowed award was established by A Yau in honour of her parents who immigrated to Canada in the 1970s with the hope of building a brighter future for their family. The award supports students from immigrant backgrounds as they pursue their undergraduate education at the University of Alberta.
