Anita G. and Herbert L. Foster Student Scholarship Fund

The Anita G. and Herbert L. Foster Student Scholarship Fund was established in 2008 by Professor Emeritus Herbert L. Foster, Ed.D to commemorate his late wife, Dr. Anita G. Foster, EDM '77, EDD '85, and his many years with the Graduate School of Education at the University at Buffalo. This scholarship supports students majoring in Literacy Education in the Graduate School of Education who have demonstrated a commitment to teaching. The scholarship is awarded to students with 3-5 years of teaching experience at the K-12 level or equivalent in their related field. The award amount varies depending on available funding and the number of qualified applicants. Recipients are selected based on their academic merit, teaching experience, and dedication to literacy education.
